Being placed in Scott's arms, the tiny baby girl opens her eyes--wide, blue, like her mother's--and looks up at Scott. She seems to be the quiet kind of baby, like she just won't cry unless she has to.

He shifts,trying to hold her right.He looks down,into her blue gaze and he smiles softly."Hey." he soothes,feeling slightly akward talking to someone who can`t understand him."I`m your dad." And it became real.

A smile,prideful and true,spreads across his face,as he watches his daughter.Yes his.Even though the circumstances were...not the best,she was still his.And mark his words he would try to be the best father there was.If Rabbit would allow that,....

A couple minutes later, they wheel Rabbit, just barely conscious, out of the OR, a morphine pump hooked up. When she's actualy aware enough, she'll be able to push the button for the pain medicine as often as she wants--and it will lock after a certain number of presses in a certain amount of time, to prevent an OD. They start wheeling her toward a room, and somebody mumbles in Scott's general direction that he can follow.

He nods,not taking his eyes off the baby, until he sees Rabbit and he gets to his feet as quickly as he can without dropping her.Careful steps as he followed her,the baby held cautiously in his arms.

They get to the room, get Rabbit all settled in, then leave. She moans softly, opening her eyes just a little, and glances around. Then she sees the button on the pump thing. "Ohh..big..red..button.."

Scott watches cautiously,the baby cradled awkwardly in his gentle hands.Brow raised at her behavior,but he didn`t say a thing.Morphine worked wonders he had heard.

Rabbit presses the button until it locks, then falls back asleep. The baby yawns softly. She's awake, just tired. She's still a quiet baby, and seems to be focused on one thing: the man holding her.

After watching Rabbit for a moment he only tears his gaze away when she has fallen asleep.Then it has turned,and has landed on the small infant in his arms,who he now gazing so adoringly at (if thats what you could call the look..Scott doesn`t do the whole cute cutesy looks)
